Alumni Transcript/Diploma and Verification Request Instructions

PLEASE READ IF GRADUATED/ATTENDED BEFORE 1991 - All records on microfiche (Any records before 1991) are being digitalized. We must pack the records up and ship them out to a scanning company. All Records last names A-K have been shipped. K-P have been packed to ship. These records will not be availbe until shipped to scanning company. P-Z will be being packed ASAP! We thank you for your patience and understanding while we navigate this project!

Minneapolis Public Schools has partnered with Parchment, a leader in eTranscript exchange, to send high school transcripts electronically, securely and confidentially, to colleges or anywhere you choose. The service is available online, 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Alumni can simply request a transcript or diploma and designate the academic institution, organization, or individual for which they would like to receive. Users will be notified when their request is complete and can also track the status of their request or view a saved copy of their transcript.

Please select "New Learner Account" if you are a student or alumni requesting via Parchment. Third-party accounts are for verification companies/schools etc.

Alumni will be charged $10 per transcript request and $15 if the transcript must be mailed.

Third party “Enrollment or Graduation Verification Requests” are made via Parchment by selecting the school link below. The cost for enrollment or graduation verification requests is $20.00.

Diplomas will be available for order via Parchment as well. Through Parchment we will offer electronic copies, and mailed copies of diplomas. For an electronic copy of a diploma alumni will be charged $20. Mailed paper copies of diplomas will cost $30 (includes postage).

When requesting transcripts, you do NOT need to request from muliptiple schools. All MPS high schools a student has attened will appear on one transcript. All transcripts will be issued from the school last attened.

Transcripts will have your full name, date of birth, graduation date (if applicable) and school attended. Diplomas will only contain your name, school attended (if applicable) and graduation date.

At this time, for transcript requests 1993 - 2022, please expect a one to three day wait for processing. For records 1992 and before, please expect a one to two week wait for processing. Diplomas can take up to a week to be mailed out. You will receive an email once the diploma is in the mail. This includes in-person requests. If you choose to request in-person please note we can only take cash, check or money orders. If you would like to pay with a card, please request through Parchment. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Signing up is easy – simply click the name of your school / alma mater to begin.

Dont see your school listed? Please use the following link:

*This link can be used to request from any school in the Minneapolis Public School distrcit that is not already listed above. This will include closed charter schools. MPS will only recieve charter school records once the school has closed indefinetly and the student lived in MPLS at the time they last attended. We apologize for any confusion. There are simply too many schools to have a request link for each one. Schools under this link can include, but are not limited to, Broadway Alternative, Heart Of the Earth, Urban League, Dunwoody/Metro Tech, West, Central, etc.

Please DO NOT email social security numbers or card payment information. MPS cannot process any electonric payments. Please use Parchment for card payment processing.

For any further questions about transcript requests or diplomas, please feel free to email transcripts@mpls.k12.mn.us

If you recieved your GED, MPS does not have the records. All GED records go to the MN Department of Education. Please go here for GED request instructions.
